Jamestown Revival is a folk-rock duo made up of lifelong friends Jonathan Clay and Zach Chance. Their music blends folk, rock, country, and Southern influences, creating a sound that feels both classic and fresh. If you enjoy artists like Crosby, Stills & Nash and Creedence Clearwater Revival, you’ll probably love these guys. Their music is full of storytelling, rich harmonies, and lyrics about adventure, the past, and freedom. Since their start, they’ve built a loyal following by keeping things real and sticking to pure, natural sounds instead of overly polished production.

Jonathan and Zach grew up together in Magnolia, Texas. They met in junior high, bonded over their love of music, and kept playing together into adulthood. Before forming Jamestown Revival, Jonathan was a solo artist, writing and performing his own songs, while Zach was more focused on songwriting. Eventually, they realized they worked best together and teamed up in 2010, naming the band Jamestown Revival as a nod to America’s first permanent English colony, symbolizing adventure and new beginnings. They moved to Los Angeles to chase their dreams, writing songs about their experiences and longing for home. Their style, a mix of folk, country, and classic rock, immediately stood out.

In 2014, the duo released their debut album titled Utah. This album has 12 songs on it that include "Fur Coat Blues," "Golden Age," "Wandering Man," "Headhunters," "Time Is Gone," and "Home." The album’s mix of acoustic guitars, rich harmonies, and personal lyrics quickly won over fans. Jamestown Revival released their second album titled The Education Of A Wandering Man in 2016. This album has 12 tracks on it that include "Company Man," "Love Is A Burden," "Always Been Wild," "Back To Austin," "Done Me Wrong," and "Head On." This album was all about life on the road and what they’d learned from traveling and performing.

Jonathan and Zach released their next album titled San Isabel. This album has 11 songs on it that include "Crazy World (Judgement Day)," "Killing You, Killing Me," "Something That You Know," "Mountain Preamble," "Mayday Man," and "Winter's Lament." Fans loved the return to simple, heartfelt folk music, and the album helped solidify their reputation as one of the best modern folk-rock acts. In 2022, Jamestown Revival released their most recent album titled Young Man. This album has 10 tracks on it that include "Coyote," "Moving Man," "These Days," "One Step Forward," "Old Man Looking Back," and "Working on Love." This album was a change from their earlier work, but fans appreciated the mature and reflective tone.

Jamestown Revival’s music is a mix of folk, rock, country, and blues. Their songs feel like campfire anthems—perfect for road trips, quiet moments, or just relaxing with a drink in hand. One thing that makes them special is their live performances. They don’t rely on fancy effects, just two voices, great musicianship, and a connection with the audience. They’ve played at huge festivals like Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, and Austin City Limits, sharing the stage with artists like Nathaniel Rateliff & The Night Sweats, The Wild Feathers, and Shakey Graves. Whether they’re playing for thousands of fans or in a small venue, their performances always feel genuine and heartfelt.

In a world filled with overproduced pop music, Jamestown Revival stands out because they keep it real. Their songs tell stories about life, love, adventure, and self-discovery, and they always stay true to their roots. They appeal to fans of classic rock, country, folk, and Americana, proving that great music doesn’t need flashy production, it just needs heart and soul.
