"The Southern Rock Poet from Louisiana"

Portland, Oregon - Kyle Craft, the American singer-songwriter known for his robust vocals and rock and roll style, We first heard about Kyle in the summer of 2016 when he came out with his song “The Eye Of The Hurricane” , this song still stands as Kyle’s most known song with its unique sound.

Kyle continues to grow his audiences with a hard hitting blend of Southern rock, glam, and folk influences. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana, Craft's musical career began in the Baptist church choir of his childhood. Inspired by a David Bowie compilation discovered in a Kmart, Craft picked up the acoustic guitar at age 15, marking the start of his musical exploration.

Craft's path led him to Austin, Texas, where he formed the band Gashcat, showcasing his talents with the release of "Reunion!" in 2011. However, it was his solo venture that truly propelled him into the spotlight. Moving to Portland, Craft embarked on crafting his debut album, "Dolls of Highland," a poetic fusion of Southern roots, folk, and glam rock. Recorded in the laundry room of his Shreveport home with a DIY rig, Craft's album caught the attention of Sub Pop Records, leading to its release in April 2016.

Described by AllMusic's James Christopher Monger as a singer-songwriter with a "full-throated wail" and a penchant for combining Stones-esque hooks with Dylan-like wordplay, Craft's musical style defies easy categorization. Rolling Stone likened his sound to a "swamp bar jukebox loaded with British glitter and Seventies Southern rock," highlighting Craft's ability to blend diverse influences into a cohesive sonic tapestry.
Craft's influences range from Bob Dylan to David Bowie, the Beach Boys, and Father John Misty, reflecting the breadth of his musical palette. His live performances, accompanied by a talented band, have earned him accolades and opportunities such as opening for Drive-By Truckers on their Fall 2016 tour.

As Craft continues to evolve as an artist, his distinctive voice and genre-defying sound promise to leave its mark on the rock and roll music scene. This Southern rock poet is full of steam and the world awaits his next release.
Kyle Craft remains a name to watch, blending tradition with innovation in each note he delivers.

Kyle’s latest album was released July 12th 2019. And came with eleven songs. The song “Buzzkill Caterwaul” has a true Beatles sound. This album is very well put together and has a huge sound. We look forward to the next releases from Kyle.
