"Raw, gritty rock and roll, Playing loud-and-proud from Hamilton, Ontario"

Monster Truck is a Canadian rock band from Hamilton, Ontario. The band was formed in 2009 by Jon Harvey (vocals and bass), Jeremy Widerman (guitar and vocals), Brandon Bliss (keyboards and vocals), and Steve Kiely (drums and vocals). The members came together from various local bands with a shared vision of creating a powerful, riff-driven rock sound. They quickly formed a local following with their live performances and classic yet contemporary sound. The band has made a significant niche in the modern rock scene and have really taken their own path.

The band's music is characterized by a blend of hard rock, blues rock, and southern rock. Their sound is often described as raw and gritty, with heavy guitar riffs, booming bass lines, and powerful drumming. The band's influences range from classic rock, legends like Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple to contemporary acts from array of different genres. This combination of influences results in a nostalgic yet modern rock sound that appeals to a wide audience of all ages.

In 2011, Monster Truck released an EP titled The Brown. This Ep has five songs on it that include "I Am Freedom," "Seven Seas Blues," and "Righteous Smoke." This EP built momentum for the band. In 2013, the group released their debut album titled Furiosity. This album has 12 songs on it that include "Old Train," "Power of the People," "Boogie," and "My Love Is True." With this release, the band continued to build their fanbase gain steam on the rock scene.

Monster Truck won the award for Breakthrough Group of the Year at the Juno Awards in 2013. In October and November of 2013, the group opened for the band Vista Chino and performed at the Download Festival in 2013 as well. Monster Truck toured with Alice in Chains as their supporting act on their tor in 2014. Ubisoft's music game Rocksmith 2014, featured the band's song "Sweet Mountain River" and EA Sports' NHL 13, used their song "Sea Seven Blues" in their game. Also, Orphan Black, "Variable and Full of Perturbation" used their track "Old Train" in an episode.

In 2015, the band began working on their second album. In October, Monster Truck released a single from this album titled "Don't Tell Me How To Live". This song is epic and was well received. This album is titled Sittin' Heavy and was released in 2016. This album has 11 songs on it that include "Why Are You Not Rocking," "Things Get Better," "The Enforcer," and of course "Don't Tell Me How To Live." Toronto Maple Leaf's used the song "The Enforcer as their song every time they scored a goal. With this album, there is no question, Monster Truck is a force on the rock scene!

In September 2018, Monster Truck released their third album titled True Rockers. This album has 11 songs on it that include "Thunder Struck," "Being Cool Is Over," "Denim Danger," and The Howlin'." This album illustrates the band's evolution while staying true to their rock foundations. In 2021, they re-recorded the song "Don't Tell Me How To Live," with Kid Rock. Sadly in March 2022, Steve Kiely left the band. But, Monster Truck released their fourth album titled Warriors. This album has 10 songs on it that include "Fuzz Mountain," "Golden Woman," "I Got A Feeling," and "Still Got Fire." These guys have laid down their mark and are going to continue to build and be a force to be taken seriously.

Here we are in 2024 and I just know they have something they are cooking up something! We will following along and be sure to update you with anything new that arises.
