Tyler Bryant & The Shakedown is a rock band based in Nashville, Tennessee, known for their energetic performances and fusion of rock, blues, and Americana. The band was formed in 2009 by Texas-born guitarist and singer Tyler Bryant. Tyler Bryant, born February 24, 1991, in Honey Grove, Texas, began playing guitar at the age of six. When Tyler was 15 he started his first band called Blues Buddies. and They played any gig they could find locally.

But Tyler was hungry for something more, so he quit school at 17 and moved to Nashville, Tennessee in 2008. He acted as his own manager and was able to book a few gigs around Nashville. Not long after, he met drummer Caleb Crosby and bass player Calvin Webster. They started performing together and that is how Tyler Bryant and Shakedown formed in 2009. Initially the lineup included Caleb Crosby on drums, Calvin Webster on bass, and Tyler Bryant himself as the frontman. Over time, the lineup changed, and the current members are: Tyler Bryant (lead vocals and guitar), Caleb Crosby (drums), Graham Whitford (Guitar), and Diego Navaira (bass).

The band released their first EP titled My Radio in (2011). They grabbed some attention for its raw energy and Bryant's impressive guitar work. They released another EP in 2011 titled From The Sandcastle. This EP made it's way to iTunes's Rock On The Rise section and was there for eight weeks. CBS used the band's song "Say A Prayer" in a trailer for the show Vegas. The group Signed with Carved Records in 2012. Tyler and the band appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live in 2012 as well.

In 2013 the band released their first full length album titled Wild Child. This album has 12 songs on that include "Lip Stick Wonder Women," "Cold Heart," "Last One Leaving," and "House On Fire." This album blended hard rock with blues influences and highlighted their potential for success. Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown decided to change record labels in 2014 to Republic Records. The group recorded their next album but Republic refused to release it saying they did not it's value. So, the band remade it and released it as an EP titled The Wayside in 2015. This EP has 6 songs on it like "Criminal Imagination" and "Stitch It Up." This release showed their songwriting talent.

Tyler Bryant and The Shakedown toured thru Europe and the United States as supporting act for AC/DC on their Rock or Bust tour. In 2017, the band released their self titled album after signing with Snakefarm Records, a subsidiary of Finnish record label Spinefarm. This album has 11 songs on it that include "Heartland," "Jealous Me," "Backfire," and "Into The Black." This album gave the vibe like there is still hope for Rock and Roll. In 2018, the band toured with Guns & Roses on their Not In This Lifetime Tour as their supporting act.

The band released their third album titled Truth and Lies in 2019. This album has 13 tracks on it that include "Shock & Awe," "On To The Next," "Shape I'm In," and "Judgement Day." This album was very well received and showed the bands musical talents and capabilities. In 2020 the band released their fourth album titled Pressure. This album has 13 songs on it that include "Hitchhiker," "Crazy Days," "Wildside," and "Coastin'." The group ended their relationship with Spinefarm label after this album release.

In 2022 Tyler and the band self-released their fifth album titled Shake The Rootson their new independent label. This album has 12 tracks on it that include 'Bare Bones," "Ghostrider," "Good Thing," and "Midnight Oil." This album has a blues rock sound. The Group released a live album titled Welcome To 1979 in 2023. Just this month on May 10, 2024 the band released their latest album titled Electrified. This album has 11 songs that include "Between The Lines," "Trick Up My Sleeve," "Dead To Rights," and "Carefree Easy Rollin'."
