Today we dive into the band Hearty Har. These guys formed back in 2012, coming out of Los Angeles with a modern psychedelic garage rock sound. Known best for their live shows, this band brings excitement to the stage.
Led by two brothers, Shane and Tyler Fogerty, the sons of rock legend John Fogerty, frontman for the band CCR. Both brothers play guitar and sing lead vocal, with Tyler also playing keys. All though there father is a rock legend, Hearty Har has done its part to grow a strong fan base. The band really got serious when they released their five-song EP, “Crystal Shards, Vol. 1,” on February 20, 2018. The band began to branch out and become more well-known, establishing small following.
In 2021, Hearty Har truly found their sound with their first studio album, “Radio Astro,” a polished version of the band, with songs like “Can’t Keep Waiting” and “Radio Man ‘56” pushing the band’s popularity. The band grew around this album. Touring and performing, they became well-known in Chicago and many other cities around the United States.
In 2023, Hearty Har released two singles, “Say Something” and “Children of Tomorrow.” The track “Say Something” really brings you back to the sounds of 1976, with its smooth, peaceful sound and ripping guitar licks. “Children of Tomorrow” expands on that, proving this band has true rock 'n' roll soul.
The band stayed on the road through 2024, touring the USA extensively and wrapping things up in Salt Lake City, Utah with a massive show. More recently, Hearty Har performed several events in 2025 so far. opening for their father John Fogerty, and they also opened at SXSW. Fans await word on new releases as and the hype grows around Hearty Har, we will keep you updated as we find out new information!
