"Purgatory Unleashed: The Mystery Lights Drop Fourth Album in 2024"

Hello everyone, Today we bring you The Mystery Lights from Salinas, California. This group has an incredible sound that will take you back to the edgy sounds of the 60s.
It all began when guitarist Mike Brandon and Luis Solano formed the band in their high school years. Coming together with a raw sound that stood out, the two created their own take on the "Nuggets-era 60s sound." While the band paid its dues in their local scene, the lineup of the band would change.
In 2009, The Mystery Lights released the band's debut LP, "Teenage Catgirls & the Mystery Lightshow." This brought a reality to the band, driving Mike and Luis to write and perform more. In 2012, Mike and Luis relocated to Brooklyn, NY. They began recruiting new members, getting Alex Amini on bass guitar and Nick Pillot on drums. The elements became one as the band honed their craft, bringing in some psychedelic elements. The Mystery Lights quickly moved to gigging around NYC.
After building momentum with rehearsals and gigs, the band started writing and releasing singles and EPs, creating a fan base. The hard work would pay off in 2015 when The Mystery Lights got signed by Daptone's Rock Imprint Wick Records. Rolling out their first album campaign with the label, the band released a 7" single "Too Many Girls/Too Tough To Bear," followed up in 2016 by "The Mystery Lights" self-titled album.
From 2016 to 2019, the band would go on a wild ride playing crazily, jumping in and out of the studio working on their next album. In May of 2019, The Mystery Lights released their second album with Wick Records, "Too Much Tension." It was around this time that Nick Pillot left the band, being replaced by Zach Butler. Lilly Rogers would also join the band on Farfisa.
Without missing a beat, the band continued touring and expanding their sound. On July 10th, 2024, they released a single "Purgatory" and began the rollout of the band's fourth studio album. On September 13th, 2024, The Mystery Lights released the album "Purgatory," twelve undeniably great rock songs.
The Mystery Lights are nowhere close to being done; this well-seasoned band has only begun to unleash their true potential. More recently, the group announced their 2025 U.S. Spring Tour with over 14 stops and more to be announced.
