Hello ladies and gentlemen, today we cover Yezzer. A band out of Louisville, Kentucky, with a heavy rock, psychedelic blues sound. However, when you take a closer listen, you will find this trio has two bass players. This brings many different tones and a heavier aspect to the project. They kinda have a Queens of the Stone Age sound when it comes to the grittiness of Yezzer. The band was formed by Brian Leonard, Joe Boyer, Nick Stinnett, and the three of them have been performing in multiple bands for some time.

The first we heard of Yezzer was back in 2015 when they did a feature with a band named ZZAPA. Five years later, Yezzer released their first studio album. The reason for the delay is simple; at this time, Yezzer was a side project to multiple different Kentucky-based bands. “King of Cups” was released on November 2nd, 2020, according to Spotify data. This album showcased the potential of the band's massive sound and really brought the three together.

On May 7th, 2021, Yezzer released a single titled “The High Life.” A very hooky song with a driving melody, a truly rockin' song! Also in 2021, they released the song "Teeth," another good heavy rock song. The following year, in February, Yezzer released their first EP “Son of Pentacles” with the songs “Palindrome” and “Deal With It” on the track list. They did music videos for these songs and received praise from Louisville Public Media for the band's work in Yezzer and several other bands. We are under the impression that this is when things got more serious for this project.

The success of their first EP demanded that they release more music. In April of 2023, the band put out “Page of Wands,” further increasing their fan base, bringing one of the band's most well-known songs, “Christy Martin.” Yezzer seemed to have really honed in on a bluesy desert rock sound. In 2024, they displayed exactly that when they released “Fat Night.” Overall, these guys continue to get better and better, and the quality of their music also gets more refined.
