Today we put our focus on Twin peaks, An American indie rock band out of Chicago Illinois. These guys came together in 2010 and quickly began creating incredible works.

The band talking formation in the crews high school days, Cadien Lake James, Jack Dolan and Connor Brodner set the path. Shortly after the band commandeered Clay Frankel from the band Crash Hero. Rising out of the DIY scene of Chicago, playing house shows through out the city. It’s told that that Clay Frankel lived In one of the DIY spaces known as Animal Kingdom. The crew had been attending the underground shows since the age of 15 so the DIY landscape was nothing new to them and it wouldn’t be long before the band started to outgrow the scene.

2012 Twin Peaks began working what would be their debut album. With limited tools, a 2004 iMac and broken digital mixer. This coming together in the basement of Cadien James. Twin peaks debut album Sunken was released July 9, 2023 launching the band to the world.

January 2014, Twin Peaks would return to the studio to work on their follow up album. On August 5th 2014 the band released the album Wild Onion. The album rolled out to the UK by September and got high praise from multiple publications. After having a killer performance at Pitchfork music festival Twin peaks started smashing festivals like Lollsplooza, by 2015 the band took of on their first European tour.

Shutting down house parties, performing and some incredible venues and meeting up with friends, 2015 was a wild year for Twin Peaks. They met up with a friend in the Berkshires and bedded down the tracks that would become the bands third album “Down In Heaven”
R. Andrew Humphrey co- produced land John Agnello later mixed the album in New York City. April 19th, 2016 “Down in Heaven” was released. The band found their way on to late night TV shows to promote the album.

Down In Heaven boosted the band into the spotlight and expanded on Twin Peaks tour schedule. Taking their first Australian tour, touring in the supporting roll of Cage The Elephant and Portugal The Man. These guys went from performing at house parties to performing at Chicago Cubs World Series Championship Trophy party, hanging with big name rock starts like Eddie Vedder.

2017 Twin peaks released a live double LP taken from shows in Chicago’s Metro and Thalia Hall, selling the show out to almost 3000 people. In July of 2017 Twin Peaks did an album project titled Sweet ‘17! 300 subscribers would receive a 7” vinyl every month and the tracks would be released digitally.

Lookout Low, Twin Peaks fourth studio album was released on September 13, 2019. Produced by Ethan Johns, helping to capture the raw energy of their live shows. Johns Also helped the band bring in a classic psychedelic sound they had been inspired by for years.

We have not heard anything from twin peaks since 2022 Social Media.
All though they have not released anything recently under the name Twin Peaks the band members have been active releasing cuts of their side projects. The future of Twin Peaks Is unclear with no upcoming tour dates.
