“New album Damascus released in January”

Today we set our sights on Los Angeles California and take a closer look at the band King Shelter.

The band came together in 2015. After Independently releasing their first EP “Failure”The bands went on to headline the Constellation Room, packing the house. This made a splash with Orange County fans and the band quickly started selling out shows leaving their mark on the LA music scene.

King Shelter started working with Adam Castilla from the Colourist as producer. On July 28th 2016, The band made their Spotify debut with the single “Preoccupy.” This release brought the band more attention. King Shelter began getting request for interviews by magazines and press in the Los Angeles area. September 26th 2016, King Shelter put out another single, “Everything Hurts” blasting out with psychedelic tones.

Kicking off 2017 with the single “Gholy Host” and followed by the single “Gimmie Knowledge.” The crew would perform sold out shows around LA and head back into the studio to work on a new album. Latter 2017 “Failure EP” would make its national debut giving the band a solid catalog. Given that, the band hit the road attending multiple tours as support roll with The Frights. Coming off the tour the band took a few weeks to focus in.

After polishing up for the 2018 album release for “$HAME.” What a success it turned out to be, dropping into the world of skateboarding with placement on “Thrasher’s King Of The Road”, airing on Viceland TV. It was around this time the band started receiving multi-national attention. They hit the Spotify algorithms snd got added on multiple playlist. Taking off on the “Happy to be hear” tour and later in 2018 Kings Shelter embarked on their first national tour supporting The Fright.

Not losing any steam the band jumped back into the studio an on February 1st 2019, King Shelter released “Sellout” seven new songs to the world. After they returned from tour after. The band did a striped down live cut of their song “Paradigm.” King Shelter continued on absolutely killing it, selling out shows, going on tour with the high curbs and keeping fans entertained across the world with music videos and social videos.

Fast forward 2024 King Shelter is back with an incredible new album “Damascus. This album is quickly proving to be a success, The Crew continues to tour and skate the city streets in the bands free time. ” In a post on social media website Instagram the band issued the statement..

“I WROTE THIS RECORD IN SOUTH FLORIDA, IN THE ROOM I GREW UP IN. IN THE SAME ROOM ME AND MY FRIENDS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL WROTE & RECORDED OUR FIRST EP, DAMASCUS.
IT SEEMED LIKE A FULL CIRCLE, MAYBE THIS PROJECT NEEDS TO END WHERE IT STARTED? IT FEELS LIKE A CLOSER, BUT MAYBE IT'S THE OPPOSITE?
PEOPLE UNDERPLAY HOW TOUGH IT IS TO KEEP A PROJECT ALIVE. KING SHELTER HAS GIVEN ME MY HIGHEST OF HIGHS AND LOWEST OF LOWS. HAVE YOU EVER PUT SO MUCH PRESSURE OR THE THING YOU LOVE THE MOST THAT YOU BEGIN TO RESENT IT? I WON'T LET THAT HAPPEN AGAIN.
IT'S BEEN A LONG PATH TOWARDS FINDING THE PRIORITY. AS MANY TIMES AS I'VE SAID THIS AS A LIE, I CAN FINALLY MEAN IT:

I JUST HOPE THE RECORD DOES SOMETHING FOR SOMEONE”
