Honey Hounds

"From a duo, to a trio, and now a four-member band, we present to you, Honey Hounds."

It all began when Nick Izzard decided to leave college in 2012 to pursue a musical career in Orlando, Florida. He released a solo single titled "Hole In One." This release was well received and gained a significant underground following. Izzard went on to delve into the history of Indie Rock and Blues Rock to enhance his knowledge and musical skills. He then became known as N.W. Izzard.

N.W. was a featured artist on the soundtrack of a documentary that his old friend, Tyler Watts, was finishing up in 2015. The two were old friends from Jacksonville, Florida. Tyler is also a drummer. While listening to blues music, the two friends shared songs that each of them had written. After hanging out for a while, the two had compiled a few songs, "Howlin’ Out," "Sun’s Gonna Shine," and "Down to Ride." Nick introduced Tyler to performing on the streets/busking in central Florida to earn some cash. Before they knew it, they became known as N.W. Izzard and were playing gigs in venues around the area. Nick and Tyler continued to perform as a duo for the next couple of years. Nick and Tyler spent the rest of 2015 on Tyler's houseboat on the Florida Keys writing songs and figuring out their sound.

In 2016, while performing at a festival, the duo met up with another old friend from their youth, Nathan Ranew. Nathan knew there were great musical possibilities for artists performing original music in the Jacksonville area and persuaded the duo to move back. Nathan took on the role as N.W. Izzard's manager. The duo went on to perform in many venues in the area including the Freebird Live Cafe, with a crowd of more than 700 patrons, before its closure in 2016. Through all of this, they built an incredible grassroots following. They went on to release their debut album "No Sleep." Songs from this album include "I Got What You Need," "Sun's Gonna Shine," and "Easy Like The Breeze."

Now we have a trio, as Nathan moved from band manager to their bass player! And in 2018, the trio became the Honey Hounds. These folks have worked hard to show the blues have relevance to every generation. In 2019, the trio released their album "The Flame." This album has 12 songs that include "Thousand Ships," "Lend Me Your Love," and "Girls Like That." They continued to grow as a band and never stopped looking to keep the blues and rock rolling.

And... Now... We have a four-member band with the addition of Max Zargon on keyboard. In 2022, they released a single "Next Life," and in 2023, they released "Rollin'" as a single. The band has continued to perform and work together on new music as well as building their fanbase.

Now here we are in 2024 and the excitement and curiosity continue to build with this band... On April 18, 2024, in just a couple of days, Honey Hounds are releasing their next album, LIVE from Pete's Bar on Neptune Beach, Florida!!! This album is titled "Close To Me." WE are so excited!!!!
