Jack Broadbent

"Bringing the sound of British Blues from Lincolnshire, England."

Today, we bring you the very talented Blues rocker, Jack Broadbent. Jack grew up with great musical influence, his father, Mick, who played bass and keyboard for Bram Tchaikovsky. That's where it began for Jack. He started out playing drums in his father's band for a while, but Jack was seeking to find his own niche. Jack went from drums to guitar with the support of his father, taking him to open mic nights.

By the time he was in his 20s, Jack was playing around London and across Europe. He found his niche, playing slide guitar with a whiskey flask as the slide. Just WOW!! The flask was worn, but he made it work. He played the streets, and people loved him. Jack wasn't looking to imitate anyone's style but wanted his own. I mean, who else has ever used a whiskey flask as a slide?

Jack released an EP in 2013 titled The Busking CD. Songs from this were "Slide In," "She Said," "Heat Of The Night," and "What If I Only Had One." While playing the streets, he sold copies of this four-song CD. He went on to release Public Announcement in 2013. This was a full album that included "Been And Gone," "Revolution," and "Sold My Soul."

A self-released album came on March 9, 2015, titled Along The Trail Of Tears. This album has 11 songs on it which include "Holdin'," "Big Black Boat," and "On The Road Again." Jack released his third album in 2016 titled Portrait in May 2016. This album has 11 tracks that include "Reputation," "Woman," and "Gone, Gone, Gone." Jack opened shows for bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd, Peter Frampton, and Ronnie Wood.

Jack went on to release a live album in 2018 titled One Night Stand. This album was a long one that includes songs such as "Willin'," "Beer and Cigarettes," and "Don't Be Lonesome." This was an awesome release because Jack's father played guitar and bass along Lynyrd Skynyrd's current piano player who added keys for this album.

Jack was stuck in Quebec, Canada, during the Covid-19 pandemic. Well, Jack made the best of it. He said, "we started playing some of the more rock 'n' roll stuff I had, and we couldn't deny that there was a kind of vibe happening... We built on those grooves and ended up with the rock 'n' roll record I've been wanting to make for a long time."

We cannot wait to see what Jack brings next, and we are anxiously awaiting for him to bring it to America!
