The band comes from the beautiful Tyrolean Alps in Austria. Mother's Cake is a band that's genre is not easily defined. Their music is a mixture of psychedelic, space rock, funk, and hard rock, creating a landscape that is both expansive and intensely focused. The trio, consisting of Yves Krismer (guitar, vocals), Benedikt Trenkwalder (bass), and Jan Haußels (drums), have created a name for themselves in the European music scene. The band was formed in 2008 in the small village of Arzl im Pitztal, Mother's Cake's path began in the heart of the Austrian mountains.
Their music is, in many ways, a reflection of their surroundings, with an untamed energy that mirrors the rugged beauty of their homeland. Early influences such as The Mars Volta, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, and Bootsy Collins laid the foundation for the band's sound.

Mother's Cake's music is characterized by its complex arrangements, from the amazing guitar work, and driving rhythms. In 2012, the band released their debut album titled Creations Finest. This album has 12 songs on it that include "The Road," "Runaway," "A Path Down Under," "Nobody," "I Like It," and "Lazy." The release of "Creation's Finest" was accompanied by extensive touring across Europe, where they played both small clubs and large festivals. This period of intense touring helped them build a loyal fanbase and perfect their musical skills. Mother's Cake released their first live album in 2014 titled Off The Beaten Track - Live at Propolis 2014. It has 6 tracks on it that include "Realtricked Me," "Soul Prison, and "Creations Finest." This LIVE album helped the band to continue to grow their fanbase.

Mother's Cake released their next album titled Love the Filth in June 2015. This album has 7 songs on it that include "Prelude," "Ecstasy," "Solar Wind," and "Insanity." This album demonstrated their willingness to tackle heavier and more introspective subject matter. The album was praised for its high energy and emotional depth, further cementing their status as a force to be reckoned with in the rock scene. In 2017, the trio released their next album titled No Rhyme No Reason. This album has 11 tracks on it that include "Black Roses," "Now Or Never," "Streetja Man," "Enemy," and "Hide & Seek." The album was well-received by both fans and critics, earning them further accolades and expanding their reach beyond Europe.

In 2018, the band released another live album titled Live at Bergisel. This album has 7 songs on it that include "The Killer," "Blank Soul," and "Gojira." Mother's Cake went on to tour 100 shows in UK, Romania, Hungary, Germany, Croatia, Bulgaria, Austria, and Switzerland in 2018. In 2019, the trio played their first show in India. In 2020, the band released their next album titled Cyberfunk! This album has 12 tracks on it that include "Tapedeck," "Crystals in the Sky," "I'm Your President," "Love Your Smell," "Hit On Your Girl," and "The Beetle." This album demonstrated their ability to stay ahead of the curve and continuously reinvent themselves.
