This album marked a turning point for Elliott Brood, earning them a Juno Award nomination. This album dives into historical themes, inspired by the 1857 Mountain Meadows massacre in Utah. In 2010, Elliott Brood wrote the song "West End Sky" for the movie Grown Up Movie Star. They signed with the record label Paper Bag Records in 2011 and released their third album titled Days Into Years.
