"We bring you a band from Canada, The Damn Truth."

The Damn Truth is a Canadian rock band that has garnered attention for their raw energy, powerful vocals, and blues-infused rock sound. The band members are Lee-la Baum (lead vocals/guitar), Tom Shemer (lead vocals/guitar), PY Letellier (bass/vocals), and Dave Traina (drums/vocals). The band has captivated audiences with their electrifying performances and heartfelt songwriting.

The roots of The Damn Truth trace back to Montreal, Quebec, where Lee-la Baum, a vocalist with a distinctive voice, and Tom Shemer, a skilled guitarist, first crossed paths. Their shared passion for music and a desire to create something authentic led them to form the band in 2011. Joined by PY Letellier on bass and Dave Traina on drums, the lineup was complete, and The Damn Truth was born.

The Damn Truth's music is a blend of classic rock, blues, and alternative rock, creating a sound that is both timeless and contemporary. Their songs often feature gritty guitar riffs, soulful vocals, and dynamic rhythms, drawing inspiration from iconic rock bands like Led Zeppelin, Janis Joplin, and The Black Keys while crafting their own unique style.

In September 2012, the band released their debut album titled "Dear in the Headlights." This album has ten songs on it that include "Time And Again," "Too Late," "Downtown," and "Picture Perfect." The album was well-received and showcased their raw talent and awesome songwriting capabilities. The album's success helped them build a loyal fan base and gain recognition within the Canadian music scene.

The band released two singles in 2014 titled "Get With You" and "Trainwreck." As it turns out, 2014 was quite an exciting year for The Damn Truth; Lee-la and Tom became parents to their son in the spring of 2014. Later, the group got busy working on their next album with Montreal producer Jean Massicotte. In July 2016, they released their second album "Devilish Folk." This album has 12 tracks that include "White Lies," "Broken Blues," "Heart Is Cold," and "Hanging On." This album further solidified their place in the rock music landscape.

In the fall of 2017, while The Damn Truth were touring through northern Canada, their van caught on fire. The band was able to escape to safety, but they lost most of their musical gear as the van was completely toast. That didn't keep them down, though; they quickly put together a funding campaign and managed to raise $10,000 within 24 hours, which helped them to replace some of their musical gear.

In 2018, the band was handpicked by renowned rock band Guns N' Roses to open for them during their European tour. The opportunity exposed The Damn Truth to a wider audience and introduced their music to rock fans around the world. Then, in 2020, they released another single "Gimme Shelter."

The band's third album, "Now or Nowhere," was released in May 2021. This album has 9 songs on it that include "This Is Who We Are Now," "Only Love," and "Everything Fades." In October 2023, The Damn Truth released the single "I Just Gotta Let You Know." Now here we are in 2024, and the band is performing around Montreal and will tour in the UK this fall.

The Damn Truth has toured around Europe, the United States, and Canada, sharing the stage with the Sheepdogs, Styx, Rival Sons, and ZZ Top, even partying with Billy Gibbons in his PJs. This band stands out as a dynamic force in the rock music scene, thanks to their exciting performances, soulful songwriting, and passionate dedication to their musical career. With a sound that honors the classic rock bands of the past while leaving their own footprint, The Damn Truth continues to captivate audiences and leave a lasting impression on the world of rock music.

We will be following up when any updates become available... STAY TUNED!

Elliott BROOD

Elliott Brood, often stylized as Elliott BROOD, is a Canadian band formed in 2002. The band's inception can be traced back to the collaboration between Mark Sasso and Casey Laforet, who initially met at Humber College in Toronto. Their mutual interest in storytelling through music and a shared admiration for roots and folk music laid the foundation for what would become Elliott Brood. The band's name, Elliott Brood, is a pseudonym inspired by Sasso's fascination with the character Elliott from the film "E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial" and the word "brood," which conveys a sense of dark contemplation that often pervades their music.
