Sam Roberts grew up in Pointe-Claire, Montreal, Canada. He is a prominent rock singer-songwriter known for his versatile musical career spanning several decades Sam's first band in 1993 was named William and they released an EP titled "Piranha EP". In 1998, they became known as Northstar. The band later broke up in 1999.

After Northstar, Roberts embarked on a solo career. In 2002, he released his debut EP, "The Inhuman Condition," which brought attention to Sam in the Canadian music scene. Sam Roberts signed with Universal Music and released his major label debut album, "We Were Born in a Flame," in 2003. The album achieved commercial success, earning double platinum sales status in Canada and winning two Juno Awards. Other albums followed like "Chemical City" (2006) and "Love at the End of the World" (2008) that further solidified Roberts' position as a prominent figure in Canadian rock music.

In 2011, Roberts decided he wanted to perform with a band, hence adopting the band name "Sam Roberts Band." The members are: Sam Roberts (lead vocals, guitar), Dave Nugent (lead guitar), Eric Fares (keyboard, guitar), James Hall (bass) and Josh Trager (drums). Under this new identity, the group released the album "Collider" in 2011 with songs such as "The Last Crusades", "Graveyard Shift" and "No Arrows".

In 2014 Sam Roberts Band released the album "Lo-Fantasy", songs include "Shape Shifters" and "We're All In This Together". "Terraform" was released in 2016 which that ihat included songs ""Terra Form" and "If You Want It". Terraform was later nominated for a 2017 Juno Award for Rock Album of the Year. Each of these albums brought to them critical acclaim and commercial success.

They released their seventh studio album, "All of Us," in 2020, which showcased the band's evolution and musical maturity. Some great songs on this album are "Wolf Tracks", "Spellbound" and "Take Me Away". This awesome album has nine songs on it.

Sam Roberts Band released their new album on October 20, 2023, "The Adventures Of Ben Blank", featuring the tracks "Picture Of Love" and "I Dream Of You". We can't wait to see the success this album has and what the future holds for The Sam Roberts Band.

Fun Facts...Sam Roberts played violin before picking up the guitar. Also, Roberts plays in another Canadian rock band called "Anyway Gang". There will be more to come on Sam Roberts.
