Today we are covering the band Dead Ghost from Vancouver, British Columbia. These guys have been responsible for over a decade of great rock music and continue to release new music and wow us with their performances.

Dead Ghost formed in 2007, when childhood friends Drew Wilkinson and Bryan Nicol began working on a new rock and roll project. They brought in Drew’s brother Mike on drums and bassist Maurizio Chiumento. Immediately, the band started performing locally and writing what would become some of their first releases. In 2008, the band released their first singles via Milk n’ Herpes Records. These releases helped launch the band and sent Dead Ghost on their first tours.

As Dead Ghost progressed, the band worked with multiple independent labels, releasing several more singles before the 2010 release of their self-titled album. Dead Ghost went on to release a live album named "Live Tapes" in 2010, which cemented the band's status with an active schedule and bigger opportunities knocking at the door.

Three years later, the band released their second full-length album, "Can't Get No." This album was distributed in the United States by Burger Records. Needing a break from the road and some time for life, the band members decided that "Can't Get No" would be their last album for a while. The hiatus ended in 2015, when Dead Ghost, more eager than ever, came back strong. With more straightforward rock and roll, they made their return with the album "Love and Death and All The Rest."

Dead Ghost returned to touring and performing, remaining an active band. Their next album release wasn't until 2020 when they gave us "Automatic Changer," bringing all the garage rock sounds we would expect with a bit more of a psychedelic aspect to the sound, as Dead Ghost had expanded to a quintet by bringing in Craig Pettman on keyboards.

The expansion didn't end with Craig Pettman; Dead Ghost eventually became a six-piece band by adding one more member. In 2024, the band released their fourth album, "Hippie Flippin'." From the first track, it's something new and impressive. The wide and polished sound comes together like never before, with incredible production quality.
