Grady Strange, he musical alter ego of Grady Wenrich, was born and raised in Ashbury Park and later moved to Los Angeles, CA. He is a very interesting person in the indie rock and alternative music scene, Grady is known for blending DIY artistry with a quirky, rebellious attitude that resonates with a wide variety of listeners. Strange has carved a unique path with a sound that channels the carefree, sometimes chaotic energy of garage rock, paired with lyrics that blend humor, soul-searching, and a little cockiness too. Strange is more than just a musician. He's a cultural icon, a storyteller, and a seller of vintage vibes.

Strange's story began in Asbury Park, New Jersey, where he bought a 4-track recorder that once belonged to CBGB's Hilly Kristal at a garage sale. This lucky find ignited his passion for music and laid the foundation for his DIY ethos. Armed with the recorder and a desire to create, he began writing and recording his own songs. The moniker "Grady Strange" came to be as a reflection of his unconventional approach to music and life. It's a nod to his rebellious spirit and his appetite for the unusual. The name sums up his unique blend of genres, from classic rock to surf punk, and his ability to push boundaries.

In 2020, Grady released an EP titled Not Very Strange At All. This EP has 6 tracks on it that include "I Listen To Your Radio Show At Night," ""Strawberry Hotel," "When You Know You Know," and "All That To Say." This EP gained alot of attention. He released his album titled Getting Stranger in 2021. This album has 10 songs on it that include "Karma's Gun," "She Found The Way," "Colorful Collage," "Queen of the Middle of Nowhere," "Easier to Say," and "Thank U, Laura." This album was well received and helped him build his fanbase. Strange released his next album titled See You Later, Separator. This album has 11 tracks on it that include "Head (Am I Out Of My?), "Avoid The Noise," "Walk Into The Sunset After The Sunset," "I Can't Seem To Get A Life," "Let It Slide," and "Toxic Cowboy." This album shows Grady's musical abilities and writing skillfulness.

Grady Strange has left an indelible mark on the music scene. His DIY spirit, his commitment to authenticity, and his unique blend of genres have inspired countless musicians and fans. He's a testament to the power of creativity, hard work, and a refusal to conform. Grady's impact on the music scene extends beyond his recordings. Strange has also become a prominent figure in the vintage clothing and collectibles scene. He and his partner, Mackenzie Howe, own and operate Oblivion LA, a popular vintage store in Los Angeles.

Grady Strange is a fascinating artist who continues to push the boundaries of music. His unique blend of sounds, combined with his unwavering commitment to creativity, has earned him a dedicated following.
