Float Like a Buffalo, a Denver-based 7-piece, 10-instrument, high-energy Funk Rock band, has been making waves in the music scene since their formation in 2016. Their style, a fusion of rock with funk, ska, reggae, and jam influences, creates a sound that is impossible to resist dancing to. Drawing inspiration from renowned acts like Lettuce, The Motet, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Chicago Transit Authority, James Brown, and Jimi Hendrix, Float Like a Buffalo has crafted a truly unique musical experience.

Over the past several years, Float Like a Buffalo has gained a devoted following and become a regional sensation in the funk/jam genre. Their sold-out and near-sold-out shows at major Colorado and national venues, including Red Rocks, Cervantes, The Bluebird Theater, Gothic Theatre, Levitt Pavilion, Summit Denver, The Lincoln Theatre (Cheyenne, WY), George’s Majestic Lounge (Fayetteville, AR), and Meteor (Windsor, ON), have solidified their reputation as an electrifying live act. In recognition of their talent, they were crowned Best Funk Band in Denver at Westword’s 2019 Music Awards.

The band's journey reached new heights in early 2019 with the release of their debut full-length album, "Back From Nowhere," celebrated with a near-sold-out release party at the historic Gothic Theatre. Float Like a Buffalo continued to impress with performances at Red Rocks (Local Set), The Marquis Theater, Levitt Pavilion, and Westword Music Showcase. Their accomplishments included a debut on the Red Rocks Main Stage as an opener for Face Vocal Band and being listed among the Top 30 Rock Bands in Denver by 303 Magazine. The release of their single "Gone By Morning" and its accompanying music video further solidified their rising status.

Float Like a Buffalo's momentum carried them to coveted opportunities, such as performing ahead of Sting at the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience, opening for Big Sam's Funky Nation and Dragon Smoke, and securing a spot at Summer Camp Music Festival through a win at Summer Camp On the Road Tour Battle of the Bands. The band's tenacity during quarantine resulted in the release of the single "Sunday Afternoon," along with a music video entirely recorded, mixed, and mastered by the band members themselves. They embarked on The Yard Ahead Tour, a unique live + live-stream hybrid concert experience sponsored by Breckenridge Brewery. Notably, Float Like a Buffalo then sold out a remarkable two-night run of socially distanced shows at Red Rocks Park & Amphitheatre and followed up with two sold-out nights at The Soiled Dove Underground for their Vertigo EP Release Show.

In 2021, Float Like a Buffalo made their mark on the national scene, joining the festival circuit at Summer Camp Music Festival and touring across the nation. They opened for legendary bands like WAR at The Lincoln Theater in Cheyenne, Wyoming, and expanded their reach with successful shows in cities such as Dallas, Bozeman, San Diego, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Lincoln.

The band's achievements continued to soar in 2022, gracing festival lineups across the nation and captivating audiences with their energetic performances. They embarked on a tour across the entire United States, including a memorable show in Dallas and a notable performance at The Lincoln Theater in Cheyenne, marking their largest out-of-state venue show to date.

In 2023, Float Like a Buffalo accomplished their first international tour, celebrating the release of their sophomore full-length album, "Day Late, Dollar Short." They toured successfully across the midwestern United States, Canada, and New York, solidifying their global presence. Summer 2023 brought a packed festival lineup for the band, sharing stages with esteemed acts like Lettuce, The Motet, Pepper, The Main Squeeze, Paul Cauthen, Sam Bush, Eminence Ensemble, Evanoff, and LowDown Brass Band, among others.
