"What started as a simple time-killer project, Turned in to a killer sell out show!'

In a world where music meets rebellion and raw energy, one band stands out for their unique blend of surf punk vibes and infectious melodies. The Frights, hailing from Poway, California, Rocking since their formation in 2012.

Led by the charismatic Mikey Carnevale on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, The Frights also feature the talented Richard Dotson on bass guitar, Marc Finn on drums, and Jordan Clark on lead guitar. Together, they create a sound that is a mix of surf, classic punk, and doo-wop, resulting in tunes that are catchy, aggressive, and playfully ridiculous all at once.

What started as a simple time-killer project for Carnevale, Dotson, and drummer Adam Lomnitzer after high school graduation, quickly turned into something more. Despite initially disbanding and pursuing other paths, the band reunited in 2012 after a successful one-off show that caught the attention of a local label.

Their early releases, including the debut EP "Dead Beach" and the self-titled studio album, showcased The Frights' knack for crafting infectious and energetic music. As they continued to perform live and release new material, the band's sound evolved, culminating in their second album "You Are Going to Hate This" in 2016.

With the release of their third studio album "Hypochondriac" in 2018, The Frights delved into more personal and introspective themes, exploring past relationships and mental health struggles. This marked a new chapter for the band as they signed with Epitaph Records and welcomed lead guitarist Jordan Clark into the fold.

In 2019, The Frights treated fans to a live album capturing the electrifying energy of their performance at The Observatory in Santa Ana. Following this release, the band embarked on recording sessions for what was initially planned as a solo album for Carnevale but later became The Frights' next studio album "Everything Seems Like Yesterday."

"Gallows Humour" The Frights Fifth album was released on June 2, 2023, The Frights continue dto push boundaries and defy expectations with their infectious blend of punk rock spirit and surf vibes.

February 23, 2024, The Frights kicked off a new tour and went on to sell out multiple shows so far. This run ends at the legendary fox theater! These guys are doing it, we will keep our eyes on these guys and let you know when the waves break.
