The Districts

The Districts, an indie rock band hailing from Lititz, Pennsylvania, embarked on their musical odyssey back in 2009. Bringing together four talented high schoolers from this small town, they set out to create something special. Their early years were defined by their relentless pursuit of their musical vision, resulting in the self-release of two EPs and a full-length album entitled "Telephone." These early releases showcased their talent and potential to the world.

But it wasn't until late 2013 that The Districts experienced a significant turning point in their career. A live studio session went viral and caught the attention of Fat Possum Records, leading to their signing with the esteemed label. This pivotal moment opened doors for the band, ultimately resulting in the release of an EP in early 2014. The EP featured remastered tracks from their previous works and new compositions, solidifying their place in the indie rock scene.

In 2014, The Districts made the jump from Lititz to Philadelphia, a move that set the stage for their second full-length album, "A Flourish and a Spoil," produced by John Congleton and released in February 2015. The album received widespread acclaim, ranking impressively on the Billboard Heatseekers and Top Independent Albums charts. This success further solidified their presence in the indie rock landscape.

Undeterred by setbacks encountered along their journey, including gear and van theft as well as the departure of founding member Mark Larson, The Districts pressed on. Their dedication and resilience paid off as they graced festival stages and captivated audiences with their electric performances.
